Here is a little guide to install new VuPlus drivers.
FOR OLD KERNEL
First of all make a backup copy of the current drivers, copy all the files in
/lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra
When new drivers comes out, take tar.gz drivers file and unzip all files in
/lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra
and replace old drivers.
Than reboot your decoder, that’s all.
If image reboots correctly new drivers are compatible with your image, if image doesn’t start it means that the drivers are not compatible and you have to wait for a image upgrade.
In this case to go back to old drivers, just connect with ftp and copy the drivers you backup before to:
/lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra

Für den Empfang von SKY auf der Dreambox sind einige Voraussetzungen nötig:
- Bestenfalls ein Enigma-Image (oder auch andere) mit Gemini, um die notwendigen Software-Pakete automatisch zu installieren.
- Ein wenig Erfahrung mit Telnet- und FTP-Verbindungen auf die Dreambox.
- Ein CAM-Feed für die Installation eines CAMs auf der Dreambox.
- Editor für die Erstellung der CAM-Config Dateien.
Schritt 1: Installation CAM auf der Dreambox
Für den SKY-Empfang kommt z.B. OSCAM in Frage für die Installation eines CAMS unter Enigma2/Gemini benötigt man seit einiger Zeit einen CAM-Feed, weil die CAMs offiziell nicht mehr von IHAD unterstützt werden.
Für die Auswahl der CAMs muss folgender CAM-Feed installiert werden.
Für die Installation des Feeds die Datei gp-cam-feed_0.3_mipsel.ipk in das Root-Verzeichnis der Box (im FTP-Programm der oberste Ordner in der Ordnerstruktur) kopieren.

Ich benötige Hilfe für die OSCAM-Konfiguration der Dreambox, um SKY zu empfangen!
Folgende Konfigurationsdateien sind für den Betrieb von OSCAM und den Empfang von SKY auf der Dreambox notwendig:
- oscam.conf
- oscam.server
- oscam.user

At first, you have to enable media library sharing on your Win Media Player, ver. 11 or higher.
(Library>Share Media>…. you can find all infos on web about how to enable DLNA)
It’s clear, that you have to have working LAN or WLAN connection with your PC to want to share with

Next go to BH SpeedUp (Blue>Blue>BH SpeedUp) and enable Dlna Browser and MiniDlna UpnP Server.
Leave other (Mediatomb and Coherence) disabled.
How to setup and use BH Tuner Server with 2 Vu+ Box’s
For this guide I used a Vu+ Solo2 as the server.
1) Press Blue button twice, then scroll down and select Tuner Server
How to setup your Vu+ box for recording on an usb stick or on another device connected to an usb port.
Mount your usb stick by Devices Manager as /media/usb
Blue Panel > Black Hole Settings > Devices Manager > Mountpoints …

Use Interface – yes, otherways will not work
DHCP to no – Your router will not do DHCP, will use static IP address for your box – better then dynamic
At first, follow your user manual, where to place your box.
For those, who doesn’t want to use for any reason third party plugin Fancontrol2, I suggest to set
Menu > Plugins > Manual Fan control to “ON” in standby. (I personally prefer Deep Standby which keeps box cooler, or total power off when no recordings are programmed.)
